Microsoft Edge Insiders in the Canary channel can now get their hands on a new experimental feature. As pointed out by Aaron Gustafson, Principal Program Manager at Microsoft, the feature allows users to move tabs between different Edge profiles via the context menu.

For now, the ability to move a tab to another profile window must be enabled with an experimental flag. If you’re running the latest version (89.0.711.0 or above) of Microsoft Edge Canary, you can use this feature by following the steps listed below:

  1. Enter edge://flags/#edge-move-tabs-to-profile-window in the address bar.
  2. From there, switch the dropdown box to “Enabled” and restart the browser to turn it on.
  3. Once it’s set up, and when you have multiple profiles open, right-click on the specific tab, and then select “Move tab to (your profile name) window” from the context menu.

You can download the Microsoft Edge Canary channel from the Edge Insider website, and keep in mind that installing the different Insider versions of the browser won’t replace the stable version. Do you think this new desktop feature is a useful addition? Sound off in the comments down below.
