As far as the Windows Insider Preview on PCs is concerned, it seems the Windows team is hitting its stride. With each new build release, the number of new, added and fixed features increases while the number of broken or ‘what’s known’ remains relatively small.

In today’s Windows 10 Insider Preview builds 10565, the Windows team has added a number of new features and minor aesthetic tweaks for users. Among the many changes, were some more subtle addresses to Cortana. In build 10565, Cortana can now more intelligently recognize inked notes. So for Surface Pro or other pen-enabled 2-in-1 owners, Cortana can understand inked notes and set reminders based on locations, times and numbers it can grab from doodles.
Other Cortana Improvements include its ability to track more leisurely endeavours. While Cortana is primarily designed to help keep people organized and informed on work-related task, it does an excellent job of tracking a host of other tangible items. With Insider build 10565 for PCs, Cortana can now keep track of bookings for movies and other ticketed events found in emails. Cortana will also add additional information to your notebook two hours prior to an event, such as directions and the booking and tracking of Uber rides directly from the Notebook.
Cortana’s integration is expanding and as Microsoft continues to foster more partnerships such as the Uber deal from a few months ago, it’ll be exciting to see what else Cortana can do in the future.
