Office 2016 for IT Pro and Developer Preview gets released today

In the spirit of moving fast and delivering more software to their customers, Microsoft has announced a preview program for Office 2016. This preview is not feature complete but has lots of the new look and feel of the next version of Office. Through the course of the preview Microsoft will push out updates to enable new features. Previously covered on WinBeta the Office 2016 has a new visual look with program specific colors at the top of each program.

Features are geared toward enterprises focusing on features such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as more support for different account types in Outlook. Click-To-Run also has received an improvement with 2016 to be faster and more efficient on the network while respecting priority traffic to not hog then network during critical traffic times. Microsoft also made a point to mention how existing Macro and Add-Ins will work without needing to be updated.

Currently the preview seems to be aimed at only enterprise customers so personal Office 365 subscriptions are not enough to gain access for now.
