If you use Microsoft Swiftkey and often frequent its forums support page to ask questions, share experiences, and even learn more about new features then you might not be so lucky. It seems that Microsoft has shut down that page.

Ever since Microsoft extended its partnership with OpenAI by making a multibillion-dollar investment, we’ve seen the company integrate AI across its products. Just last week, the company announced that it was expanding AI capabilities to Swiftkey to enhance its usability through Search, Chat, and Tone.

To this end, Microsoft is yet to comment on the matter and give an explanation as to why it decided to do away with Swiftkey’s forums page. However, there’s a lot of speculation going around indicating that Microsoft sort to this change to avoid backlash from users after adding the new Bing AI button as spotted by the folks over at SamMobile.

However, the support page isn’t entirely redundant as there are still some articles linked to the page that will help users get started with the platform as well as links to their social media pages.

Microsoft has previously indicated that it has big plans for the Swiftkey keyboard moving forward, even after scrapping the iOS version from App Store and then restoring it back shortly after. The latest update for the platform shipping with AI capabilities is an indication that it could be here for the long haul but we can only wait and see.
