The number of backwards compatible games on Xbox One is always growing. We can report today that four new Xbox 360 titles have been added to the ever expanding list of Xbox 360 games that can be played on Xbox One.

Major Nelson tweeted about the four newest new titles added to the list.  Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, Trials HD, & Lego Batman are all now playable on Xbox One systems.

Backwards compatibility is available at no additional cost, and there is no fee to play disc based or digital titles you already own. You can even keep your Xbox 360 game saves, game add-ons, achievements, and Gamerscore under the backwards compatibility program. If you own the DLC for these backwards compatible titles, you can install and use it just like you do on the Xbox 360. To install DLC you own, go to the Manage Game section for that specific title and install the DLC to your drive.

Microsoft recently announced that it would no longer release backwards compatible games once a month, but rather would announce Xbox 360 games as they become compatible. A list of all other backwards compatible titles is available from Microsoft here.
