Microsoft also revealed that 85% of Americans are concerned about their online privacy, but less than that take any action about it.
Microsoft aims to help raise awareness on how users can have greater choice and control as they browse the internet. Microsoft, of course, recommends Internet Explorer 10 as the browser of choice for enhanced security and privacy.
“We want to help people learn more about the tools and technologies Microsoft provides that give them have greater control over personal information as they browse the web and use their favorite Microsoft devices. As part of this, we’re also launching an advertising campaign to kick start awareness and conversation,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
Microsoft has created a new page on its website that offers you a quiz and identifies your privacy tendencies and preferences. After the quiz, you are presented with tips on how to turn your new awareness into action. Head over to www.microsoft.com/YourPrivacy to check it out and take the quiz at yourprivacytype.com
