Driver update Microsoft – WPD – 2/22/2016 12:00:00 AM – 5.2.5326.4762 has been a hot mess for some unfortunate Windows 10 users.
According to a few complaints lodged with the Microsoft Community forum, Windows 10 users, in particular, have been suffering connectivity issues with devices, despite the update going out to Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 computers alike.
While the update was automatically downloaded to Windows 10 PCs, the Windows team pulled the update shortly after release due to its effect on connecting devices such as phones, cameras, or external hard drives to computers.

My GoPro Hero 5 is not getting detected. I have tried the workaround, and it recognizes it as MTP Device, but does not appear in MY Computer for browsing the files in it….
It seems that for mobile phones this is working, but not for my brand new camera…

Fortunately, pulling the update wasn’t the only move the Windows team had, they also managed to find and publish a workaround until the team can formally push out an update to affected machines. There are two rather lengthy methods for affected users to try in order to circumvent the bug found in the driver update, and both can be found on the Microsoft Community forum page.
If your device was among the small percentage of machines affected by the recent driver update, head to the forums for a fix.
