Microsoft announces new security features for Windows 10, Office 365 and more at Ignite

Microsoft has just announced several new security features for Windows 10 Windows 10, Office 365 and more. We’ve dissected the news and have included the biggest details for you below.
Leading off the set of features is the Windows Defender Application Guard. This application guard, which will be coming to Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Insiders, is set to make Microsoft Edge the most secure browser for enterprise users. Under the hood, it is powered by an Isolated “virtual” Edge session. The ultimate goal, however, is to protect the operating system and user files and prevent wold be viruses from malware, viruses, and zero-day attacks.
Additionally, several other security features are coming to Office 365. Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection and Office 365 ATP now share intelligence mutually across both services. Other features include Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection, and Office 365 Threat Intelligence. These features enable users to receive an email immediately with a placeholder attachment while the actual attachment undergoes scanning, and provides alerts and information on the origination of specific attacks.
Last up is some new security for mobile applications. Leading off on this end is the fact that Outlook for iOS and Android will now be powered by the Microsoft cloud for office 365 commercial users. This ultimately means that no mailbox data will be cached outside of Office 365.
On the enterprise end, meanwhile, is Enterprise Mobility + Security E5, which will bring advanced security and Microsoft Azure Information Protection. Finally, Available on Oct. 1, 2016, is Secure Productive Enterprise, which brings enhanced security and productivity across several Microsoft products.
