When you’re typing up a storm in Microsoft Word, or writing an email in Outlook, there no doubt will come a time when you’ll be faced with some grammar and spelling errors. With that being so, have you ever wondered how your errors stack up against other users? Well, a recent report done by the folks at Business Insider revealed the top 10 grammar mistakes in Outlook and Word according to Microsoft.
According to the report, which used data from “millions of subscribers,” to Word and Outlook, the top mistakes include leaving too many white spaces between words, missing commas, missing hyphens, and more. Please have a look at the list which Microsoft compiled below.
- Leaving too many white spaces between words
- Missing a comma
- Missing a comma after an introductory phrase
- Missing a hyphen
- Incorrect subject-verb agreement
- Incorrect capitalization
- Mixing up possessive and plural forms
- Incorrect agreement with noun phrases
- Commonly confused words
- Incorrect verb form after auxiliary
