Microsoft Stream Interactivity analytics

Microsoft Stream will be enhanced with new interactivity analytics metrics that will allow managers to see the engagement rate on interactive video Stream videos. According to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, all those users who have the privilege to edit access to a Stream video will be able to check out these metrics.

The new analytics will measure the engagement metrics on interactive Stream videos, meaning all those videos that contain interactive elements, such as polls, links, or callouts. The Redmond-based tech giant says these metrics will measure pretty much anything, from the number of unique viewers to the ones that have clicked on the interactive elements.

But there will also be metrics about the number of interactions, or the average attention time. Basically, everything managers need to know about engagement.

This feature gives audience engagement metrics on interactive Stream videos. Users with edit access to a Stream video that contains links, polls, or callouts will be able to see the number of unique viewers and the percentage of those who viewed or clicked on interactive elements in the video, as well as average number of interactions and average attention time. These metrics help video owners understand which content is most engaging.

Microsoft

The new Interactivity analytics in Microsoft Streams are definitely useful and here’s why: as Microsoft mentioned in the description, managers (and organizations) can understand which content is most engaging, and they roll out similar content in the future to spark conversations, keep employees engaged and offering them ways to relax at work.

Managers can get the general feeling of the company: what kind of content works and what doesn’t, and plan accordingly. For example, if the company wants to conduct a survey, it can do so by creating a funny video with polls, especially if employees seemed more engaged when watching funny videos in the platform, in the past.

In other news, as you may know already, Microsoft Stream now allows users to share videos directly into emails on Outlook. In the case of a funny interactive video, this is a big plus.
