God of war ragnarok PC

There has been much hype about God of War Ragnarok making its way to PCs, and to everyone’s surprise and delight, the popular video game is finally out on these devices now.

You can now download and install it, and the game already has a Steam profile that you can check out. Unfortunately, all is good and well in Valhalla, but as you might know already, you need a PlayStation Network account to play God of War Ragnarok on your PC.

According to the Steam page, you won’t be able to play the game without an account.

Sony wants to gather and use the data, which might be why it’s forcing PC gamers to sign up for such an account. The company has a history of doing so, and it wanted to enforce the policy on Helldivers 2 players, as well; however, after many days of negative criticism that resulted in bad reviews and hundreds of thousands of disappointed fans, Sony retracted its actions.

However, this was not true with God of War Ragnarok on PC. Even though officially there are no solutions to this, the PC gaming community, which is quite ferocious in its own right, has come up with a mod that will allow PC gamers to play the game without signing up for a PlayStation Network Account.

A modder named iArtorias has created a mod called NoPSSDK that removes the PSN requirement. This allows players to launch the game without linking their accounts. The mod also disables the PSN overlay, which the game uses to show your PSN username.

The mod is available on Nexus Mods, and according to sartorius, it’s been downloaded almost 2,000 times and viewed nearly 22,000 times since it went live a couple of days ago.

Edit: It seems that the mod is no longer available.

However, some gamers are baffled that people are upset about this requirement.

I do not understand why people are getting so mad at sony when microsoft does the same thing

I just started playing forza horizon 5 and it forced me to make a xbox account even though i bought it on steam. Its the same as sony with their games on steam, i wanna know why people are only bringing up sony while xbox does the same

Either way, you can already pre-order the game. It’s worth mentioning that God of War Ragnarok will be released in 2 editions for PC: there is the standard edition, which costs 59,99€/59,99$, and then there is the deluxe edition, which costs 69,99€/69,99$.

The deluxe version will contain a digital artbook, as well as the soundtrack of the video game.
