The LinkedIn Windows 11 shortcut is almost impossible to hit

Microsoft owns LinkedIn since 2016, so it’s not really unusual to have a quick way to open the LinkedIn profile directly from your Windows 11 desktop. However, as we discovered recently, the shortcut for that is more like a longcut that uses almost all the fingers from your left hand.

What is the LinkedIn shortcut from Windows 11?

Are you ready? The shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Win+L. We have tested it and it works. It opens the LinkedIn page on your default browser so at least it doesn’t force it on Microsoft Edge.

We don’t know why Microsoft did that, because it’s absolutely useless. It’s a lot less time consuming to just open a browser (if it’s not already open) and type linkedin in the page or just hit a bookmark if you’ve created it.

And yes, we’ve read your thoughts, there are some other such shortcuts you didn’t probably know about. For instance, to open Microsoft 365, quickly hit Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Win+W, or if you’re late on that Teams meeting, press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Win+T.

You’ve got it! Just change the letter at the end and see what happens. For example, with X, you will open Excel and with P, here comes PowerPoint on your browser. O is, of course, reserved for the Outlook browser version.

Another unusual fact is that we’ve browsed through the Windows 11 shortcuts on the Microsoft dedicated page and didn’t find the one for LinkedIn. Probably it wasn’t updated.

In the meantime, you can check our collection of the most useful shortcuts on Windows 11 and see if you haven’t spot one that you would actually need.
