Windows 365 now lets users log into their Cloud PCs without having to type in passwords

Microsoft is introducing new features for Windows 365, aiming to make remote working more straightforward and secure. This action will guide businesses and their staff who depend on cloud servers to access Windows desktops from anywhere, using any gadget.

In a blog post, the company says Windows App will simplify logging into your Cloud PC. Think of it as easy as checking email to access your work desktop. GPU-based cloud PCs are also becoming available for those requiring extra power in their home office setup.

But the exciting part comes now. Ample power comes with a significant duty to safeguard users from possible security and identity dangers. What does Microsoft do? Fresh security elements were created to protect Windows 365 from these dangers.

Single sign-on (SSO) comes first. It provides a better user experience by reducing the need for repeated credential requests and enhancing safety with its ability to support passwordless confirmation. You can now discard the annoyance of remembering passwords; this new method offers a more secure login.

In-session passwordless authentication exists whenever you are immersed in your cloud PC session and a new authentication is needed. It permits using passkeys for extra security without interrupting your work activities.

Microsoft also added the Purview Customer Key. This gives businesses control over their encryption keys and guarantees that data in Microsoft’s data centers remains tightly locked.

Moving on to IT admins, the Redmond-based tech giant is trying out mobile application management (MAM) in a public preview for Windows 365 users with Android and iOS devices. This includes enhancing the security of real gadgets that may connect to Windows 365 results, which can be managed and unmanaged.

Microsoft hasn’t determined when these features will be generally available, but the company wants to ensure that working remotely remains secure and practical.
