Teams Rooms Android

Microsoft Teams will provide an immersive meeting experience, and before you think about Microsoft Mesh, let me stop you right now. It’s not about Mesh but rather a more traditional way of offering immersive experiences on the platform.

According to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Teams will allow for a 3×3 video gallery on dual displays for Room on Android. What does this mean? Dual display rooms will be capable of presenting up to 18 videos (3×3 on each screen) when no content is being shared during meetings.

Microsoft says this will ensure a uniform experience across Windows and Android Teams Rooms devices.

Here’s what the entry says:

Dual display rooms are now capable of presenting up to 18 videos (3×3 on each screen) when no content is being shared during meetings. This enhancement ensures a uniform experience across both Windows and Android Teams Rooms devices.

The capability is set to be released in November 2024.
