Viva Engage polls

Viva Engage will allow users to edit and schedule polls for the first time in the platform’s history. According to a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the Redmond-based tech giant will update the Viva platform to allow poll editing and scheduling for publishing.

However, there is a limit to it: editing cannot happen once the poll is published. So even if your poll is saved but not out there, you can still edit it with further information and data.

The polls are the last ones to get the editing feature. Microsoft already brought it to all of the other Viva Engage posts. Users can now edit the platform’s discussions, questions, praise, and articles.

Here’s what the entry says:

Users can schedule a poll for publication in Engage. Users can also edit a poll prior to publication, though once published, a poll is not editable. This change brings the edit and schedule capability to polls, like all other post types in Engage (discussion, question, praise, and article).

You’ll be able to edit polls in Viva Engage starting January 2025.

In other news, Viva Engage will prioritize recommended comments to users to encourage collaboration, similar to how LinkedIn works.
