Good news for those using Microsoft Planner’s tasks and dependencies in their work: The Redmond-based tech giant announced it will increase their number per premium plan. The new limit is increased to 3000 tasks and 2000 dependencies per premium plan.
According to a new entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, those with a premium plan can create and manage up to this new number of tasks and dependencies.
Here’s what the entry says:
Create and manage up to 3,000 tasks and 2,000 dependencies within a Microsoft Planner premium plan.
The new increase will impact Microsoft Project and Planner and will be released in February 2025. Tasks and dependencies are usually used in Planner to streamline workflows, assign workloads, and hasten a project’s development.
A single project can usually have hundreds of Planner tasks if it’s complex, but they can also reach thousands if the project is big.
The new update will ensure Planner can be used in all situations, regardless of their infrastructure.
In other news, Microsoft finally added the Board view in My Tasks for Planner, and the new update will help users organize their tasks faster and easier.
