Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.4510 (KB5046716) to the Beta Channel. The latest build comes with several improvements. For instance, Windows 11 now lets you share files directly from the jump lists on the taskbar, and a new Gamepad keyboard layout for the on-screen keyboard in Windows 11 that supports using your Xbox controller to navigate and type is also available.
KB5046716 also brings new functionalities to Narrator scan mode. Users will now be able to skip past links and jump to lists. Windows 11 users will also see improvements to speech-to-text and text-to-speech.
In addition to new features, Microsoft has fixed several issues in the latest build. For example, Windows 11 will no longer display a message saying “You’re offline. Widgets are unavailable” on the lock screen when connected to the internet.
Microsoft says that Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel will receive updates based on Windows 11, version 23H2, via an enablement package. However, some features in the Beta Channel are rolled out using Control Feature Rollout technology, starting with a subset of Insiders and ramping up over time as Microsoft monitors feedback to see how they land before pushing them out to everyone in this channel.
The Redmond-based tech giant is gradually adding new features to the Beta Channel, so you may not see them immediately. If you want to be one of the first to get the new features, you can turn on the toggle to get the latest updates, as they are available via Settings > Windows Update.

Speaking of the Beta Channel, Microsoft has decided to end it in the Windows 10 Insider Program; the company released the last build to it last week. If you’re enlisted in that program, you might want to consider leaving it entirely.
