How to download DELL SupportAssist for Business PCs

If you opted for a ProSupport Suite for PCs service, DELL also has a great tool called DELL SupportAssist for Business PCs that will help you even more.

It’s an AI-powered tool that connects to DELL’s TechDirect and provides you access to a full library of remediation scripts. Besides that, you get access to telemetry-driven insights for your entire list of PCs on your organization’s network. How do I download DELL SupportAssist for Business?

  1. Open the browser of your choice and go to the official SupportAssist for Business PCs page.
  2. Scroll down and click the SupportAssist for Business download link.
  3. After downloading, the app will start automatically and perform a scan on your computer.

Of course, the tool only works on DELL PCs. If you try to install it on another device, the installation will fail with error 9505.

How do I use the SupportAssist for Business PCs

After you download and install SupportAssist for Business PCs, go to DELL’s TechDirect portal and create a new account or sign in with existing credentials. DELL says that after connecting to TechDirect, that allows the IT Admin to centrally manage their devices by remotely viewing, managing, and monitoring their PC fleet, maximizing the value of SupportAssist.

DELL also has a Getting Started Guide that includes all the instructions to connecting to SupportAssist and deploying it to your endpoints.
