Microsoft has released the latest update, 133.0.3000.0, to the Dev channel of Microsoft Edge. The update brings new features and bug fixes to the Edge browser across Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. The update comes after Microsoft released version 132 to the Beta channel last week.
The latest Edge Dev build adds a new Immersive Soft FRE pinning screen, allowing users to pin the screen to access it more quickly. Edge Dev also makes it easier to move tabs to the left or right of the screen, adds an option to delete browsing data from history, and changes how the favorites bar is displayed when a video is playing in split-screen mode.
Regarding fixes, Microsoft Edge Dev 133.0.3000.0 addresses several issues that caused the browser to crash. This includes a bug that caused Edge to crash on Mac when clicking the group name in the organize tabs pop-up, a bug that caused Edge to crash when using the ‘Talk to Copilot’ feature, and a bug that caused Edge to crash on iOS when clicking the search box or any input box after signing in with both AAD and MSA accounts.
The Edge Dev update also brings several fixes specific to the browser’s Mac, Android, and iOS versions. For example, Edge no longer crashes on iOS when signing into an account, and the news feed loads successfully. Meanwhile, Edge no longer crashes on Android when clicking the input box or checkbox under feedback.
Microsoft Edge Dev 133.0.3000.0 is available now through the Dev channel.
If you already have the Edge Dev build installed, you can update to the latest version by navigating to Settings > About Microsoft Edge. You can download it from the Edge Insider website if you haven’t installed the browser.
