Ninja Gaiden 4 launches October 21—Brace Yourself for 3D Slash-Action Experience
Get ready for brutal, bloodbath combat
Ninja Gaiden 4 drops on October 21, and it’s not just a sequel. It’s a full-blown reboot of the franchise’s signature chaos, built as a powerhouse collaboration between Team Ninja and PlatinumGames.
The debut trailer wastes no time. We meet Yakumo, a new-gen ninja prodigy cutting his way through swarms of enemies with wild precision.

Weapon switching is near-instant. Combos are brutal. That’s not all; Bloodbind Ninjutsu is back in all its messy glory, alongside revamped Ninpo arts and a whole spread of new tools you’ll get to master mid-fight.
Visually, it’s a blend of sleek Tokyo neon and crumbling dystopia. The city feels alive and overrun, and boss fights are massive, screen-filling battles that look pulled straight from a fever dream.

You can expect to see Seori—a new character who might be an ally, rival, or both—and a shadowy link back to none other than Ryu Hayabusa. The torch is being passed, but the legacy’s still sharp.
The Xbox Wire team reportedly got hands-on with the game. Team Ninja’s combat bones are still here, but Platinum’s flair adds a fresh, stylish edge that makes Ninja Gaiden 4 feel like a franchise reborn, not just revived.
