Microsoft’s Zero Trust platform combines Defender, Entra, Purview, Intune, and Sentinel to secure everything from endpoints and data to infrastructure and AI. These tools, powered by over 84 trillion daily threat signals, allow the system to flag and respond to incidents across the network.

Customers interviewed by Forrester cited “deep cross-platform integration” as a key advantage, with no need to manually piece together third-party tools.

Forrester also credited Microsoft for strong identity controls, real-time risk-based access enforcement, and effective use of AI in its unified platform. Microsoft Entra, the company’s identity management solution, plays a central role by coordinating access controls and drawing signals from Defender and Purview to adapt responses in real time.

Microsoft said its Secure Future Initiative and alignment with NIST, MITRE, and CISA frameworks demonstrate a continued push toward industry-leading best practices.

The report comes at a time when the rise of generative AI is reshaping the threat landscape, making Zero Trust more relevant than ever. Microsoft says it’s focused on helping organizations secure their environments while deploying AI responsibly.
