Hogwarts Legacy Hits 40 Million Copies Sold Milestone
Even years after its release, Hogwarts Legacy continues to appeal global players. That’s because Warner Bros has shared a massive milestone, confirming the game has now sold over 40 million copies on consoles and PC. There has been an addition of six million copies sold since March 2025.
Just to be clear these figures reflect full game sales, excluding subscriptions like PS Plus. If you are a long time Hogwarts Legacy fan, you must be aware that the game blends immersive storytelling, highly detailed environments, and more. That keeps players coming back.
Avalanche Software is reportedly also working on a sequel, which might launch in the coming years. While some additional content for the original game was shelved, the focus now is on expanding the wizarding universe further.
It will be interesting to see whether Netflix’s massive acquisition of Warner Bros will play a part in bringing that sequel soon, or will it push it back, only time will tell.
