Popular US Retailer Drops Nintendo Switch 2's Price to $399.99, With a Catch
The Nintendo Switch 2 isn’t officially cheaper. But in at least one place, it effectively is. Micro Center has quietly dropped the price of Nintendo’s latest console below the $400 mark, offering the Switch 2 for $399.99 through its Member Pricing program. All you have to do is create a Micro Center account. For anyone looking to grab Nintendo Switch 2, this is the best deal.

The console still lists at its original $449.99 MSRP, but signing up for a free account unlocks an instant $50 discount. But, there’s one catch: this deal is in-store pickup only. That’s not all; even if you order online, you’ll need to visit a physical Micro Center location to complete the purchase. Shipping isn’t available for the console under this promotion.
The deal comes at a time when the gaming industry is facing the heat of a global memory crunch, which reportedly has also hit Nintendo. So, before the pricing of Nintendo’s latest handhelds shoots up, which is highly likely, it’s best to grab them now.
For the uninitiated, the Switch 2 launched last June at $449.99, landing $150 higher than the original Switch at launch. Since then, pricing has largely held firm across major retailers. While it doesn’t change Nintendo’s official pricing, it hints at how retailers may start moving inventory as competition heats up and supply stabilizes.
