Splatoon Raiders Gets Switch 2 Release Date, Will Be Single-Player-Focused Game

Nintendo has confirmed that Splatoon Raiders is coming to the Switch 2 on July 23. Just to be clear, the upcoming title is the first spinoff in the series, which shifts focus towards a single-player experience. The company has also confirmed that the game will include a multiplayer mode alongside its core gameplay.

Nintendo suggest that Splatoon Raiders is primarily a single-player game. Players take on the role of a mechanic and explore the Spirhalite Islands while searching for treasure. The game also features Deep Cut, the fictional band introduced in Splatoon 3, which joins players during their journey.

The gameplay includes upgrading weapons and taking on enemy sea creatures across different areas. From what’s been shown, the game centers around colorful environments and fast-paced action, hinting that it will keep the core style of the series intact.

Notably, the game is heavily focused into solo play, but the good news is that multiplayer is still part of the experience. You’ll be able to team up with up to three friends for raid-style missions. The mode supports both local wireless and online multiplayer.

Alongside the game, Nintendo is also planning to release a new Amiibo pack. The pack will feature the three members of Deep Cut, aligning with the game’s theme and characters.
