Two More Day-One Games Join XBOX Game Pass in July 2026
Recently, Microsoft revealed seven titles for the XBOX Game Pass July 2026 lineup. Now, two more games have been confirmed for the service, and both will arrive as day-one releases.
According to PureXbox, Fogpiercer and The Planet Crafter are joining XBOX Game Pass later this month, giving subscribers access to two very different experiences. One focuses on strategic roguelike deckbuilding aboard a train, while the other challenges players to transform a hostile alien world into a habitable planet.
Fogpiercer arrives on XBOX Game Pass July 17
The first addition is Fogpiercer, a sci-fi roguelike deckbuilder scheduled to launch on July 17. The game will be available through Game Pass for PC and will debut directly into the subscription service on release day.
Fogpiercer takes place in a dangerous world overrun by bandits, where players must build and expand a train while fighting to survive. The game combines deckbuilding mechanics with tactical combat that emphasizes positioning and environmental interactions.
Players can trigger chain reactions, carefully place units, and use terrain advantages to overcome increasingly difficult encounters. The roguelike structure also means every run offers different challenges and opportunities.
The Planet Crafter joins on July 21
A few days later, on July 21, The Planet Crafter will make its XBOX debut through Game Pass. The game will be available on XBOX Series X|S, PC, and Cloud.
Unlike Fogpiercer, The Planet Crafter focuses on exploration, survival, crafting, and large-scale terraforming. Players begin on a hostile planet with limited resources and must gradually transform it into an environment capable of supporting human life.
The title has already built a strong following on PC, where it currently holds an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam based on more than 36,000 user reviews.
More Game Pass titles on the way
The additions of Fogpiercer and The Planet Crafter expand what is already shaping up to be a busy month for XBOX Game Pass subscribers. Both games will launch directly into the service on day one, continuing Microsoft’s strategy of using Game Pass as a platform for new releases alongside established titles.
Before July arrives, players may also want to check out the recently announced XBOX Game Pass June 2026 Wave 2 lineup. In other news, Microsoft has started highlighting XBOX exclusives on the dashboard, making the company’s exclusivity strategy more visible to players.
