Microsoft 365 Is Down: Massive Outage Hits Teams, SharePoint, Azure & Other Services
Microsoft 365 users are once again down as a result of a massive outage. Reports began surfacing after several Microsoft services stopped working, preventing some users from accessing Outlook, Teams, and Office for the web. After multiple user reports and huge spike on Downdetector, Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and says it’s investigating the disruption.
Multiple Microsoft 365 services are affected
According to Microsoft’s status updates, users may be unable to open Office files or access Microsoft Teams. The company says it identified elevated error rates across Office for the web and is analyzing service telemetry to determine the root cause.
Microsoft has not shared how many users are affected or whether the outage is limited to specific regions. Administrators can follow the incident using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center Message ID MO1437424.
Microsoft is working on a fix
The company later confirmed on X that engineers restored affected services after implementing mitigation steps. Microsoft said normal service had resumed once recovery was verified.
This is one of several Microsoft 365 disruptions reported this year, with previous outages affecting Outlook, Teams, and other cloud services.
