Take-Two Breaks Silence on GTA 6 Marketing Following 'Extended Look' Deal With Netflix

The GTA 6 Extended Look premieres later this month. Netflix gets the first showing before Rockstar uploads it elsewhere. That announcement alone dominated gaming conversations. Now, Take-Two says the marketing campaign stretches much further.

Netflix is only one part of Rockstar’s marketing plan

During the company’s latest earnings call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reportedly revealed that GTA 6’s promotional campaign isn’t limited to Netflix. According to him, Rockstar is working with “virtually every social media outlet on Earth” as part of its broader marketing strategy.

Zelnick described Netflix as “a great marketing partner” for Take-Two. He also called the collaboration a “groundbreaking partnership” arranged directly by Rockstar Games.
The executive declined to discuss the agreement’s financial terms. However, he said Take-Two is excited about how the partnership will unfold.

Rockstar yesterday confirmed the GTA 6 Extended Look

The Extended Look premieres on Netflix first before landing on the company’s YouTube channel and the official GTA 6 website several hours later. The reveal has already sparked debate

The unusual choice of platform has attracted mixed reactions across the community. Some players worry Netflix could struggle with demand during the premiere. Others question whether a game showcase should debut on a streaming platform before becoming widely available.
