Lenovo's Project Swan Rollable ThinkBook Leaks With a Wild Horizontally Stretching Display

Lenovo’s rollable laptop experiments are far from over. A fresh leak now shows a ThinkBook with a screen that expands sideways. The design looks much closer to a real business laptop than a futuristic concept.

Folks over at Windows Latest have shared exclusive images of the device, reportedly known internally as Project Swan. The leaked laptop appears to be part of Lenovo’s ThinkBook lineup. 

The screen doesn’t roll up like Lenovo’s older laptop

Project Swan takes a different approach from Lenovo’s previous rollable designs. Its flexible OLED panel reportedly expands outward from both sides of the display.

The extra screen area appears hidden inside housings along the laptop’s edges. Motorized rails then pull the display outward when more workspace is needed. 

The hinge also looks noticeably shorter than a normal laptop hinge. Its centered position apparently leaves room for the screen mechanism to extend sideways. From the front, however, the machine looks surprisingly normal. The leaked images show a centered webcam and two visible USB-C ports on the left side.

Lenovo still isn’t done experimenting with rollable PCs

The ThinkBook branding suggests Project Swan targets business users rather than gamers. Its internal codename also indicates that this could still be pre-production hardware.

As of now, specifications of the Project Swan Thinkbook remain unknown. By that we mean, the news outlet hasn’t shared details about the display size, processor, memory, and storage. That said, Lenovo is expected to showcase or announce the Project Swan Thinkbook at the IFA 2026. At the same event, we also expect Lenovo to showcase its previously-leaked Googlebook 15.

With another unusual laptop now leaking, Lenovo clearly isn’t ready to give up on expandable displays. The bigger question is whether Project Swan eventually becomes something consumers can actually buy. That’s something only time will tell.
