XBOX Is Shutting Down Servers for 3 Games This September

While over 40 games are coming to XBOX platform this week and 45 games received handheld compatibility, three games are preparing to shut down their online servers in September 2026, as PureXbox writes.

Three XBOX server shutdowns confirmed for September

Hawked, GRID Legends, and Sociable Soccer 25 currently have server closures scheduled for September. More shutdowns could still join the list before the month ends.

Hawked shuts down on September 7

Hawked is a free-to-play online co-op game that has already been delisted.

Its servers will shut down on September 7, 2026. Because the game depends entirely on online functionality, Hawked will become completely unplayable once the servers go offline.

GRID Legends loses online services on September 11

GRID Legends will shut down its online services on September 11.

Players will still have access to the game’s offline content after the shutdown, but online multiplayer and other connected features will stop working.

Sociable Soccer 25 follows on September 28

Sociable Soccer 25 will lose its online functionality on September 28, 2026.

Its offline modes will remain available, so owners will still be able to play parts of the game after the servers close.

Railbreak leaves the XBOX Store

Railbreak will also disappear from the XBOX Store on September 4.

The developer plans to replace it with a rebuilt version called Railbreak DX. Existing Railbreak owners will not receive Railbreak DX as a free upgrade.

More XBOX shutdowns are coming

Additional XBOX server closures are already scheduled for later in 2026, and more September shutdowns could still receive last-minute confirmation.

The closures come during an otherwise busy month for the platform. Microsoft already has 11 games confirmed for the XBOX Game Pass September lineup, while 59 titles are lined up for Play Anywhere support.
