Did Xbox Just Leak CONTROL Resonant’s Day-One Game Pass Release?

Earlier today, Remedy revealed PC requirements for CONTROL Resonant. But, that’s not about as Xbox may have accidentally leaked that the game is coming to Game Pass as day-one release. The game reportedly appeared in promotional material linked to Xbox Game Pass.

CONTROL Resonant could be heading to Game Pass day-one

Xbox Nation reports that the alleged leak came via Xbox’s official UK Instagram account (post now removed). A Game Pass-related post appeared to suggest that CONTROL Resonant would join the subscription service. That quickly caught the attention of Xbox players online. However, Xbox has not officially confirmed that CONTROL Resonant will launch directly into Game Pass.

As of now, what’s official is the release date of CONTROL Resonant, which is September 24, 2026. So, we still have two weeks before we can learn more about it.

Remedy’s next big Control game is almost here

CONTROL Resonant is the upcoming sequel to Remedy’s critically acclaimed Control. The game follows Jesse Faden’s brother, Dylan, as he faces a new supernatural threat. The sequel is developed by Remedy Entertainment alongside Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two. It is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Xbox store currently lists the Standard and Digital Deluxe Edition for pre-order. For now, the Game Pass day-one release leak should be treated with grain of salt rather than an official word. Xbox could still clarify the alleged leak situation before launch.

All that said, if the accidental Instagram post was genuine, CONTROL Resonant could become a seriously tempting Xbox Game Pass addition.
