The GTA 6 DualSense controllers pre-order rush is officially underway, and it didn’t take long for the limited-edition PS5 controllers to become difficult to find in the UK. Sony has launched two Vice City-inspired versions of the controller, with a few reports hinting that retailers already running out of stock as fans scramble to secure one ahead of GTA 6’s November 19 launch.

The GTA 6 controller rush is already getting real

Sony’s limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense controller comes in Black and White, with both featuring a shimmering, color-shifting finish, GTA 6 branding and molded palm-tree details inspired by Vice City. Both controllers cost $84.99 in the US and £74.99 in the UK, and Sony has confirmed they will launch alongside the game on November 19.

Pre-orders for GTA 6 DualSense controllers opened at 10 AM local time in the UK and Europe, while US buyers get their shot at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT. Getting the Black edition is tricky because Sony is making it a PlayStation Direct exclusive in supported markets, while the White edition is also being offered via participating retailers like Amazon.

And judging by what’s happening in the UK, waiting around probably isn’t the best strategy. Reports from buyers indicate that several retailers, including Currys, Argos and Smyths, have already seen White Edition stock disappear, while demand on PlayStation Direct has also been intense.

Sony has already made clear that these aren’t standard DualSense models that will simply remain on shelves indefinitely. With GTA 6 hype reaching another level, a $84.99 controller carrying the game’s branding was always going to attract collectors and resellers.
