Microsoft first confirmed that users were having trouble accessing some Microsoft 365 services. The company directed administrators to MO1472904 in the admin center for further information about the incident. If you can’t access the Microsoft 365 admin center, you can follow updates via the company’s Service Health Status dashboard.

After an hour, the company reported signs of recovery, saying some users had told Microsoft that the issue was “no longer occurring.” However, the investigation remains ongoing, meaning the recovery does not appear to have reached everyone yet.

Microsoft’s latest update specifically mentions 502 and 503 errors as it continues investigating the incident. These errors can appear when a service or gateway cannot properly handle a request, although Microsoft has not said exactly why they are occurring in this case.
