192GB of Leaked Materials Detail GTA 5's Huge Liberty City Expansion, Agent Trevor DLC & Early GTA 6 Assets

A massive 192GB archive of Rockstar Games development files has reportedly surfaced online, and it is giving GTA fans an unusual look at both Grand Theft Auto 5’s abandoned plans and early Grand Theft Auto 6 material. Don’t get your hopes too high as it is not a fresh GTA 6 leak.

GTA 5’s canceled content is the real story

The archive reportedly contains GTA 5 source code, development tools, debug material, unused dialogue and assets from content Rockstar eventually abandoned. One of the biggest discoveries is a much larger version of Liberty City that appears to have been prepared for a canceled GTA 5 expansion.

Dataminers have reportedly reconstructed parts of the planned Liberty City expansion using map and audio-zone data. The version shown in the files appears substantially larger than the Liberty City featured in GTA 4, although Rockstar never released the expansion.

The leak also contains more material from the canceled Agent Trevor single-player DLC. Reports point to mission names, a spaceship, an Arab mansion, a huge underground area and other assets. There is even unused dialogue suggesting Rockstar once considered a very different ending for Trevor involving liquid nitrogen.

GTA 6 is involved too, but fans should be careful about what that actually means. Early GTA 6 map assets and low-quality renders have reportedly been found, including areas resembling Vice City, an airport, stadium, docks and other parts of Leonida. However, these assets appear to be from much earlier development and are not representative of the final GTA 6 map.

The 192GB GTA leak has a major catch

Reports indicate the archive is connected to Rockstar’s 2022 security breach, rather than evidence of another fresh hack. Much of the material appears to have circulated privately before becoming more widely available now. Rockstar has not publicly confirmed the archive or its contents.

That makes the Liberty City discovery especially interesting, but claims that the old map is destined to become GTA 6 DLC remain speculation.
