Microsoft Releases Windows 11 KB5127216 and KB5125758 for Setup and Recovery

Microsoft has released two new Dynamic Updates for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, targeting Windows Setup and the Windows Recovery Environment.
The updates arrived alongside the recent KB5124010 preview update, which introduced several fixes and improvements for Windows 11.
KB5127216 updates Windows 11 Setup files
KB5127216 is a new Setup Dynamic Update for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2, released on September 22.
Microsoft says the update addresses security vulnerabilities in Windows Setup binaries and other files that Setup uses during feature updates.
Setup Dynamic Updates allow Microsoft to replace or improve installation components before a Windows feature update proceeds.
Microsoft offers KB5127216 for both x64 and Arm64 systems. The x64 package is about 17.5 MB, while the Arm64 version is about 17.1 MB.
KB5125758 improves Windows Recovery Environment
Microsoft also released KB5125758, a Safe OS Dynamic Update for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2.
The update improves the Windows Recovery Environment, or WinRE, which Windows uses for recovery and troubleshooting when the operating system cannot start normally.
KB5125758 is available for x64 and Arm64 devices. Microsoft lists the packages at roughly 174.4 MB and 205.5 MB, respectively.
Dynamic Updates can also update existing Windows images before deployment while helping preserve components such as Language Packs and Features on Demand during upgrades.

Microsoft distributes the new Dynamic Updates through Windows Update, the Microsoft Update Catalog, and Windows Server Update Services. KB5125758 downloads and installs automatically through Windows Update.
The releases give Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 updated Setup and recovery components as Microsoft continues servicing both versions.
