XBOX Is Getting 22 New Games October 6—9, Including Gears of War: E-Day
Microsoft has revealed the XBOX lineup for October 5 to 9, with more than 20 games heading to XBOX consoles throughout the week.
The biggest release is Gears of War: E-Day, while the schedule also includes STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, the KINGDOM HEARTS Collection, Echo Weaver, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, Neon Abyss 2, and several smaller indie releases.
October 6 brings Gears of War: E-Day and KINGDOM HEARTS
October 6 delivers three of the week’s most notable launches:
- Gears of War: E-Day – A prequel following Marcus Fenix and Dom during Emergence Day, with campaign, Horde Siege PvE, and Versus PvP. It supports Game Pass and XBOX Play Anywhere.
- STAR WARS: Galactic Racer – A runs-based racing game set in the lawless Outer Rim following the fall of the Empire.
- KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] – A bundle containing HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
October 7 adds three smaller releases
October 7 brings a more indie-focused selection:
- Hidden Dogs – A cozy hidden-object game featuring more than 500 dogs and items across 15 hand-drawn levels.
- Titanic Escape Simulator – A mystery adventure where players investigate a suspicious death aboard the Titanic before disaster strikes. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire – An action-farming roguelite about Dracula’s son abandoning blood for a plant-based diet. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
October 8 is the busiest day of the week
October 8 has the largest number of releases, led by Echo Weaver and Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival:
- Echo Weaver – A time-loop Metroidvania where knowledge from previous runs helps players break the cycle. It launches on Game Pass and supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival – A first-person survival horror game featuring Pinhead, the Cenobites, and a mysterious puzzle box.
- Neon Abyss 2 – A fast-paced cybermyth roguelike with run-and-gun combat and extensive item synergies. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- Deck of Haunts – A strategy game where players control a haunted house and terrify invading humans.
- Forever Ago – A narrative road-trip adventure about redemption, photography, travel, and meeting new people. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- Gear.Club Unlimited 3 – A racing game featuring more than 40 cars and roads across Japan and the French Mediterranean coast. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- MyPOPGOES – A simple resource-management game where players care for Popgoes inside a virtual LCD toy. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- Thunder Hoop Collection – A collection of two classic run-and-gun platformers from 1992 and 1994. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- Silver Pines – A dark mystery adventure following a private investigator searching for a missing musician. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts – A naval strategy game focused on designing warships and fighting battles from the 1890 to 1950 era. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
October 9 closes the week with six more games
Another six games arrive on October 9:
- Cozy Meowmory – A cozy spot-the-difference game featuring colorful rooms and cats. It supports XBOX Play Anywhere.
- HORSE CLUB Ride West – A horseback adventure set in the Wild West with exploration, quests, and riding competitions.
- PAPERHEAD – A fast-paced boomer shooter mixed with adventure-horror elements.
- Sesame Street: Friends & Fun – A family game featuring Elmo, Tango, and other Sesame Street characters.
- Tiny Techie in Puzzle Land – A pixel-art puzzle game built around moving objects, minecarts, bridges, and railroad systems.
- Whisker Mess – A cat-themed tile-fitting puzzle game where players create lines and clear space on the board.
The busy release schedule comes as Microsoft prepares for other XBOX changes in October. Eight games are leaving XBOX Game Pass on October 15, while Microsoft has also partnered with IKEA on the new YXSTABY gaming furniture collection.
