Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra & RTX Spark Dev Box Get Official Price Tag, Pre-Orders Now Live

Microsoft has officially revealed the pricing and opened pre-orders for its new Surface Laptop Ultra and Surface RTX Spark Dev Box. Both devices were announced during the company’s Surface and Windows event in San Francisco, with Microsoft positioning them as powerful machines for local AI workloads.

Surface Laptop Ultra and RTX Spark Dev Box are up for pre-order

The Surface Laptop Ultra starts at $2,599, while the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box costs $5,999. Microsoft says both devices are available to pre-order today, giving developers and power users the chance to secure the new NVIDIA-powered hardware ahead of its wider availability.

The Surface Laptop Ultra is designed to bring NVIDIA’s RTX platform to a premium Surface laptop, while the RTX Spark Dev Box is aimed more directly at developers who need substantial local AI computing power. Both machines are built around the idea of running demanding AI models directly on Windows rather than relying entirely on cloud services.

The pricing makes the Dev Box particularly interesting. At $5,999, it is clearly aimed at professional developers and AI workloads rather than the average Windows user. The $2,599 starting price of the Surface Laptop Ultra is also firmly in premium laptop territory.
