Xbox has added a useful feature to its disc-to-digital program, giving players a way to track games they can no longer access. The new license history page lists digital licenses revoked after players lose possession of qualifying physical discs.

Xbox now shows games with revoked digital licenses

The new “Disc to digital license history” page was first spotted by @XCTdotLIVE on X and can be accessed via the official Play.Xbox website. You can reportedly find it under Settings > Manage Games > Disc to digital license history.

Microsoft’s explanation on the page says games no longer accessible through disc-to-digital licensing will appear there. This can happen when players lose possession of their qualifying game discs. The addition gives players a clearer way to track revoked licenses instead of discovering the problem when they try launching a game. However, the history page records lost access rather than restoring the license. To remind you, Xbox fans have also been tracking games that are part of the disc-to-digital initiative.

Selling or lending a disc can affect your digital access

Xbox’s disc-to-digital program lets owners of supported Xbox One and Xbox Series X discs claim digital access. However, the digital license remains tied to the qualifying physical disc. If players sell, trade, or give away a qualifying disc, its digital entitlement can move to another account when the new owner claims it. Microsoft also warns that losing possession of the disc can limit or revoke the associated digital benefits.

Players who lose access can regain possession of the original disc and launch the game while signed into their account. Alternatively, they can purchase a separate digital version through the Microsoft Store. The new history page does not appear to provide another recovery option.
