Ubisoft has finally delivered some big news for Assassin’s Creed fans. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting its long-awaited New Game+ mode on November 5. The announcement comes as the franchise crosses 40 million players, with Ubisoft also sharing updates on Hexe, Invictus, and future remakes.

Assassin’s Creed Hexe update is coming in 2027

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Hexe remains in development. The company describes it as a darker experience but says there is still work ahead. Its next major update is planned for 2027. Meanwhile, Codename Invictus continues evolving following feedback from private player tests. Ubisoft says players liked its multiplayer foundations but wanted stronger connections to the franchise’s core identity.

The Netflix live-action Assassin’s Creed series is also nearing the end of production in Rome. Ubisoft has not announced a release date yet. Notably, the franchise will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2027 with reveals, updates, rewards, and community events.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla New Game+ arrives November 5

The upcoming update will let players revisit Eivor’s journey while carrying over much of their progression. Ubisoft says the mode will include dedicated New Game+ scaling, alongside new progression options and rewards.

Players can expect new runes, achievements, and a stash system. The update also introduces Mithril, a new resource for upgrading Divine Gear and strengthening runes. Ubisoft is adding Divine Gear quality to all items, alongside a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe from Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The company says full patch notes and details about current-generation console updates will arrive in the coming days.

Ubisoft has no other Assassin’s Creed remakes in development

Unfortunately, fans hoping for another remake may have to wait. Ubisoft confirmed that no other Assassin’s Creed remake is actively in development right now. The company says its teams are focused on upcoming titles, including projects with new settings and stories.

That said, Ubisoft hasn’t completely ruled out revisiting older games. The company says the door remains open as it continues exploring opportunities to bring classic titles back.
