In case you haven’t heard, Remedy’s upcoming action-adventure third-person shooter Quantum Break has a TV series of its own, a fact that isn’t surprising considering the game has some pretty big star power. However, as ICXM reports, the game’s episode packs will take up a cool 75GB of storage space. An external hard drive will definitely come in handy in case you want to store this kind of content.
If you don’t want to download the episodes, it’ll be possible to stream the episodes as well, possible after every major chapter in the game. The video content runs at an hour long each, with choices made within the game affecting the result of different scenarios.
Combined with the game’s install size of 45GB, players will need 120GB of space to properly store everything Quantum Break will have to offer. Taking into account that a 500GB Xbox One has approximately 362GB free out the box, then streaming episodes is probably the choice most will need to make.
By merging both a live action TV show and gameplay, Microsoft wants to ensure it gets enough attention for both the game and for the Windows Store. Blizzard is another big company exploring other entertainment channels as they ramp up for the release of the Warcraft movie and produce animated shortss for its upcoming Overwatch multiplayer shooter.
Quantum Break will be available on April 5. If you pre-order the game for the Xbox One, you will get the Windows 10 port for free. Be aware that the actual physical disc won’t have the episodes on it, though.
