download keylemon

KeyLemon is a face recognition software tool that could help you add an extra layer of security to your PC. You just need a webcam and a well-lit room so that the authenticator app can properly take a photo of your face using biometric solutions.

Once you do that, you won’t need to input a password to log into your PC and get past the authentication step. Instead, stare at your webcam until KeyLemon buzzes you in. As long as you don’t have an identical evil twin, everything should be alright.

KeyLemon system requirements

Before you download KeyLemon, check if you meet these requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP, Mac

  • Internet: required to activate the program
  • Miscellaneous:

How to install KeyLemon

After you download KeyLemon to your computer, you can run the setup operation even though you can’t purchase a license for it anymore. The good news is that installing the authenticator app on your PC is not as complicated as you’d think. Provided that you’ve already downloaded the installer on your PC, launch it.

You need to accept the EULA before you can get any further down the setup road. The only thing that you need to configure during KeyLemon’s setup is the destination path on your PC. Once you do that and click the Install button, the wizard will take care of the rest.

How to use KeyLemon

You’d probably expect any face recognition app to be operating at a level that’s nothing short of rocket science. However, you’ll be surprised by the simplicity of KeyLemon’s interface. It looks just like a regular webcam app since it hides its magic under a minimalistic, user-friendly layout.

The main window is split into two sections. One of them is actually a navigation menu that lets you access KeyLemon’s menus by simply clicking them. The other section is the configuration pane for the category you’ve selected.

Create a profile for facial recognition

When you first run it after download, KeyLemon prompts you to create a profile. It sounds more complicated than it really is. All you have to do is click the creation button in the Profiles section of the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

First thing’s first, you have to be in a well-lit room and your webcam must be connected to your PC. Click the profile creation button, position your face in the middle of your webcam’s field of view, and look straight into your webcam’s lens.

After successfully capturing your face, you’ll need to confirm your profile by manually inputting your Windows password. From that point on, if you’ll want to bypass typing your Windows password, you’ll just need to stare into your webcam’s lens, as before, all thanks to the authenticator app.

Configure KeyLemon settings with ease

If you’ve changed your features and the system can’t recognize you any longer, select your profile and click the Adapt button. You’ll have to take another shot, but that’s the end of it. No additional configuration is needed.

KeyLemon also lets you perform a bunch of adjustments if you’re not happy with the way things are. Head to the Settings category to bring the configuration menu into view. Here you can set the app to ask for your password to access its control center, adjust the security level, and enable a couple of challenges to prevent spoofing.

It’s not a secret that you could trick face recognition systems by showing them a picture. That’s why you can enable an eye blink challenge or a head movement one. That way, the system will try to make sure that it’s not being deceived by a still image.

Last, but not least, you can even change some parameters involving your webcam. For instance, if you have multiple webcam devices, you can select the default one that KeyLemon will use. More so, you can toggle horizontal mirroring of your webcam and cut KeyLemon’s access to your cam after a certain time. You can configure the inactivity timer value.

Effective face recognition software for home and office

To sum up, you can safely download KeyLemon to strengthen your PC security and privacy by resorting to face recognition software with biometric authentication. It requires minimum configuration and runs even on older systems, so you don’t have to worry about having a cutting-edge Windows PC or Mac.

Learning how to use KeyLemon is fast and straightforward: just create face profiles with user accounts and passwords. Just make sure to look straight into your webcam’s lens, and it should let you right in.
