What are the best virtual pet online games?
The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs
This is an expansion pack for The Sims 4, which allows the player to create a variety of cats and dogs and add them to the Sims’ homes or care for neighbourhood pets as a veterinarian.Â
The game brings a Create A Pet tool, that lets you personalize cats and dogs, each with their own unique appearances, distinct behaviours, and outfits.
It also brings a new world, Brindleton Bay, that you can, of course, populate with pets.
The game is available to play on PCs, Macs, Xbox One, and Playstations.
Planet Zoo
A much-awaited for zoo construction and management simulation game, Planet Zoo is all about wildlife conservation.
The player has to build a zoo to shelter 68 species of animals (in the basic version of the game) – and create the perfect environment for them. Then, one also has to entertain and educate the human visitors.
The game received very good reviews upon launch and has already snatched a few awards.

Falcon Age
For fans of bird games, this one can be a good mixture of a good story plot about colonialism in the US with realistic graphics, and entertaining enough since it focuses on building a relationship with a falcon.
And while you get to raise and train the falcon since it’s only a baby bird, your pet can reward you with cute fist bumps.
The game also comes with an optional VR mode, which is recommended if you want to get the full experience of the game.
Falcon Age is available for PC and Playstation 4.
Cat Quest 2
This is a classic action RPG-game, situated in the fantasy realm of cats and dogs (so it’s not only about cats). As you might guess, it’s a sequel of the very popular game of the same name.
Players praised the satisfying combat episodes doubled by exciting and varied dungeons filled with new traps and obstacles, the fantastic graphics, and the infectious humour.
Whether you play solo or cooperate with a friend, the aim is to regain your throne (or your thrones).
The game is available to play on a multitude of platforms including PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, iOS, PCs, Macs, smart TVs.Â
There’s a demo version that you can download, and then purchase the full version.
Megaquarium
This is one of the best management games of 2019, where you are the curator of your own aquarium.
You get to design your displays, look after your fish, manage your staff, and keep the visitors happy. And fish-caring is not as easy as you might think!
Besides completely captivating the player with the building and management plans of the establishment, there’s also the feeding plan and placement plan for each type of fish.
Megaquarium is available to play on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, iOS, PCs, Macs, and Linux.
