Micro ATX and Mini ATX cases are pretty popular because they combine the power of a full-fledged desktop PC with a small form-factor, easier to store, and, why not, portable!
We tried to find the smallest Micro ATX cases for you but we also considered other features like proper ventilation or ease of access and security.
What are the smallest Micro ATX cases to buy?
- Dual-chamber Direct Airflow Path
- Three high-performance Air Series AF140L fans
- Full side panel window
- Front dust filter
- Not the smallest
Corsair Carbide Air 540 is not the smallest Micro ATX cases but it’s one of the best from the smallest cases. It’s certainly the top case for cooling because you can mount up to six 120 mm or five 140 mm fans, with a 280 mm top radiator support and room for a 360 mm radiator on the front panel.
And this awesome case actually includes the 140 mm Corsair Air Series AF140L intake and exhaust fans that will not only ensure a very good airflow but it’s also a very silent solution.
The Corsair case comes with dual 3.5″ hot swap bays and four 2.5″ tool-free SSD drive cages for plenty of drives and storage.
SilverStone CS280
- Verry small - 8.72 x 11.85 x 6.96 inches
- Supports 2.5-inch hot-swap 8 HDDs with locker
- Premium aluminum front door with lock
- Dual 80 mm intake fans
- Very little space to wire the disks
The SilverStone CS280 has only a 12 liters volume but it offers incredible storage space and versatility in a very small form factor. This case supports a total of 8 hot-swappable 2.5” SAS/SATA drives, plus a ninth 2.5″ drive internally.
Nobody says you can’t mount so many drives in such a little case, but you probably won’t have any space left for the cables to wire them. It can hold an ITX motherboard, and comes with dual 80 mm intake fans.
Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L
- Magnetic Design dust filter
- Transparent acrylic side panel
- Adjustable I/O and fully ventilated airflow
- The case can be positioned vertically or horizontally
- Very low price
- The airflow is not the greatest
The Cooler Master Box Q300L is a budget-friendly option for a very versatile Micro ATX case. Although the size is very small, this case supports a standard ATX PSU which it’s pretty rare with this size.
The I/O panel can be adjusted to six different locations based on the different system setup, three for each side of the case. Dust is a big problem for any PC but the magnetic dust filters on the front and upper sites not only that ensure proper ventilation but also keep the dust away.
SilverStone SG11
- Ample space for CPU cooling (82mm in height)
- Support graphics cards of any length
- Micro ATX motherboard & ATX PSU compatible
- Space for up to nine 2.5-inch drives
- Not too great for gaming configurations
The SG11 is an improvement over the best case design from the SilverStone portfolio, the Sugo SG01. It has the same, classic shoebox proportions, with 10.63″ (W) x 8.35″ (H) x 15.47″ (D).
Although it’s a Micro ATX case, the SG11 can accommodate many standard-sized components like an ATX power supply or graphics cards up to 14.5″ long for instance. This is a great case if you’re looking to build a compact workstation or a powerful small form factor gaming system.
- Big area air circulation panel with two pre-installed fans
- Top panel with magnetic dust-proof net
- RGB strip with 7 colors and 3 lighting modes
- Two 120 mm black fans are pre-installed at front and rear
- Supports up to 8 fans
- Lots of plastic
If you want to build a Micro ATX gaming PC, Montech Flyer can help you all the way. It has two preinstalled 120 mm fans at the front and rear but it can host up to 8 fans.
You’ll be a fan too if you find out that this little tower case can hold Micro ATX, ITX, and Mini ITX motherboards, two 3.5″ HDDs, and also two 2.5″ SSDs.
The front RGB strip will add a touch of wow to the case and the dust-proof net from the top and at the PSU are easy to take off and clean.
This was out selection with the smalles Micro ATX cases for you to buy right now. You have to take into consideration that the small form factor of a case has to be doubled by versatility and intelligent cooling design.
