As a part of “Ubi 30” Anniversary, Ubisoft is offering their neon-soaked neon-soaked Far Cry spinoff Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon as a celebratory gesture which is classified as one of the best-rated shooter games. To redeem this gift, all you’ll need a Uplay account, get on with the download, and keep it forever.
The generosity of Ubisoft has been well observed in the past months as well, when the company has offered free downloads for renown titles, like Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Splinter Cell, Rayman Origins and The Crew, and is currently giving Beyond Good and Evil for free as a promotional offer.
Far Cry 3 : Blood Dragon is an 80’s action movies and video games inspired standalone expansion game, which basically means that anyone can buy and play the game without having the original copy. The game revolves around a retro-futuristic island where gamers play-act the role of military cyborg Sergeant Rex “Power” Colt. But if you look beyond the whole “80’s mimicry” aspects of the game, it is no less that a standard, high-class and well-presented shooter game.
Though the offer is limited to the Windows PC version of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, however, and kicks off Wednesday, Nov 9.
Giving a quick remembrance of the game, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was released in 2013 for PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360 and took the audience with a storm. The Xbox 360 version is also backward compatible with Xbox One and now the PC version will be out next week, and that too for free.
“Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon isn’t quite as brilliant or hilarious as it thinks it is, and the seven hour running time sees the joke and the gameplay stretched fairly thin. It’s foul-mouthed, gratuitously violent and sometimes shabby looking. Yet it’s still a lot of fun, with some fabulous gung-ho action, an excellent soundtrack and a clutch of fantastic one-liners.”
