Siri from the point of view of an AI image generator

Without a shadow of a doubt, we know that Apple has grand plans with generative AI. Also, some speculations say that multiple AI features are coming with future updates. However, Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, didn’t reveal too much. Yet, we know enough to say that Apple will compete with Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI.

What is Apple doing with generative AI?

The most significant feature is Siri. For now, the virtual assistant is already using some AI functions. Yet, we might soon get Siri 2.0, which uses generative AI and machine learning systems. So, that would make the virtual assistant even better than Bard, Chat GPT, and Snapchat’s AI. On top of that, Siri 2.0 will also have more functions than the available AI models.

Apple is using generative AI to improve the overall quality of photos and videos. Also, autocorrect will be improved, and we might get instant stickers featuring our faces. On top of that, some of the previous features will also get updates, such as ECG, crash, and fall detection. Yet, these are just some minor benefits.

Is Apple making a GPT?

Ajax, or Apple GPT, as some call it, is already here. The Apple AI learning model uses more than 200 billion parameters, which makes it better than Chat GPT 3.5. However, Ajax is still in preparations and early stages, so there is only a little information related to it besides the fact that it is a multimodal AI capable of producing video, images, and text.

For now, we are sure that Apple has some hidden pleasant surprises in store for us. After all, the release of Apple Vision Pro already shows that Apple understood the assignment. We have great expectations and can’t wait for the Worldwide Developers Conference. Hopefully, this won’t become an episode of Black Mirror or Humans.

Last but not least, you should know that while they are secretive and quiet, Apple is investing and buying various AI-related startups. Furthermore, some say that Apple already has its arsenal of AI tech ready, but they are just implementing security measures before going all out.
