Are you a SpongeBob SquarePants fan, then you might like the new Xbox

Good news for SpongeBob fans, the good-natured and enthusiastic sea sponge: Microsoft has announced a SpongeBob SquarePants-themed Xbox Series X.

This is a huge leap from the monolithic gray and green console to a famous cartoon character, which is loved both by kids and adults.

It is called Xbox Series X – Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Special Edition Bundle and has the SpongeBob SquarePants with its iconic smile, Krusty Krab uniform, and ecstatic arms.

Along the console, you get an Xbox Wireless controller featuring SpongeBob and all his underwater friends, including Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and Gary, in a colorful collage.

The bundle is a limited edition and available for purchase at $699, starting at 8 am PST on Thursday, March 7, 2024, and you can only purchase it in the USA.

Due to its status as a limited edition, the post on Xbox Wire suggests to download the Best Buy Mobile app to get a notification on its availability, so that you don’t miss out on this opportunity. This means the Redmond tech giant has partnered with Best Buy for this exclusive release.

Microsoft has released cartoon-themed and popular game theme controllers in the past, including a previous SpongeBob iteration for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl in 2021. The company is known for releasing special edition versions of its console, namely Starfield Wrap.

This seems to be a strategic move by Microsoft, which not only promotes Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 but keeps up the sales in the months between the new year and summer.
