apollo lake laptops

In a nutshell, Apollo Lake is a unique processor that is the smaller sibling of Kaby Lake. It is designed for notebook computers that are in the entry-level range and it offers unique features such as 4k support.

While Apollo may not be as powerful as other notebook Intel processors, it is more affordable. In fact, laptops that use this processor are typically under the $500 range. If you are looking for the best Apollo Lake laptops currently available on the market, then the list below will help you out.

It is important to note that each of these computers has its unique advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, they are not placed in any order. Rather, this list is designed to help you find the best Apollo lake laptops that suit your taste and needs. Without further ado, let’s get started.

Best Apollo Lake laptops to buy

1. Chuwi LapBook 14.1

The aesthetically pleasing plastic LapBook 14.1 inch offers a 1920×1080 display, Celeron N3450 Apollo Lake, and it is available on Amazon.

This Apollo Lake laptop is not only affordable, but also highly functional for its price. Despite, its low price, the laptop features a Quad Core 2.2 Ghz, N3450 Celeron Apollo Lake processor from Intel.

The 14.1 inch 1080p is also quite impressive, as most entry-level laptops offer only a 1366×768 resolution display. If you are still not satisfied with the screen, then you can always hook up another HD monitor or HDTV via it’s HDMI Output.

Albeit, the storage space isn’t exactly impressive for a typical laptop. The LapBook offers 64GB of storage space. Many users opt to use cloud services to fulfill most of their storage needs. The front camera only features 2.0 mega pixels and captures 640 x 480 resolution videos.

Despite its shortcomings, this Apollo Lake laptop is still very impressive for its price. For only around 240 USD you can purchase a computer that is both reliable and functional.

Another important thing to know about this laptop is that it uses Windows 10 and is made of plastic.

If you are looking for a similar laptop, but with an all-aluminum body then you will want to consider the Chuwi LapBook 12.3.

2. Chuwi LapBook 12.3

Features an all-metal body with slightly better specs than it’s 14.1 siblings, but uses a smaller screen.

The Chuwi 12.3 is smaller, but lighter (1.45 kg) than the 14.1. Furthermore, it features a stunning 2736×1824 resolution display. The same display is used on the Microsoft Surface Pro. This means 4k videos will look stunning on this Apollo Lake laptop.

It utilizes the same processor as the 14.1 but has a 6 GB memory instead of 4 GB. As for memory storage, the 12.3 features the same 64 GB eMMC storage unit, but customers have the option to add an M.2 2242 SSD SATA.

I recommend this laptop for users who are looking for an Apollo Laptop that is cheap, yet functional and is also not bad on the eyes. It’s weight also makes the LapBook ideal for on the go.

3. Jumper EZBOOK 3 Pro

13.4 inch Windows 10 notebook computer that comes with a Dual-band 5.0 GHz/2.4 GHz WiFi, which ensures that you have high-speed surfing even on your travels.

The primary advantage this laptop has over its competitors is its dual-band WiFi feature. This is an important feature as users will most likely use the Jumper during the travels, without access to an ethernet cable.

Yet, the laptop also features full-sized and well-spaced keys. There is no backlighting, but the black keys combined with the clean white labeling makes it easy for users to write even in poor lighting. The trackpad also does not seem to have any responsiveness issues.

There is a 1080p resolution screen that is capable of producing sharp images and texts.

In summary, the Jumper is a great Apollo Lake laptop for users who are looking for a device that is capable of low intensity gaming, basic daily computing tasks, etc. As a writer, I personally would suggest this computer for individuals who are looking for a writing laptop.

4. Asus VivoBook E12 E203NA

The cheapest laptop on this list, the Asus VivoBook weighs at only 0.98 Kg and has a 10 hour battery life.

The aesthetics of this notebook computer is quite pleasing. Furthermore, it is only 16.9 mm thick and weighs only 0.98kg.

You also have a surprisingly large number of ports on this laptop. Specifically, there is a USB Type C, micros SD, two USB 3.0, HDMi port, and headphone jack.

In addition, the keyboard doesn’t feel very cramped, even though it will probably be slightly smaller than what you are used to. The keys are responsive and not noisy. The trackpad is also decent, but nothing to write home about.

There is also a 2.0 MP camera that only produces 480p videos. The sound from the built-in speakers, on the other hand, is definitely not up to standards, especially if you crank the volume up.

The VivoBook includes the Intel Celeron N3350 processor, which is one of the slower Apollo Lake processors. Nevertheless, the processor is slow low powered that it does not require a fan to operate, which allows the notebook to be thinner.

Perhaps, the main advantage of this laptop is its screen. It is only 11 inches and has a 1366×768 resolution. The image quality also isn’t impressive, but it could be passable for some users. The display is a TN panel, which means you will have trouble viewing the screen at certain angles.

5. Onda Xiaoma 31 Notebook

A $400 notebook that features the slightly more powerful N4200 Apollo Lake processor and a 13.3-inch screen. Champagne gold-colored exterior and comes with a fingerprint scanner.

This is one of the more expensive Apollo Lake laptops on the market. However, the aesthetics are great, there are a lot of features, and it offers more processing power.

That being said it does offer many of the same features as the other laptops mentioned in this list. For instance, the Onda Xiama 31 only has 64 GM eMMX storage, up to 8GB RAM, 1080p 13.3-inch display, and a 2.0 MP camera.

Apollo Lake laptops are unique and ideal for users who need a laptop for their travels. Not to mention that all of the best laptops mentioned in this list are incredibly affordable. Now it is up to you to decide which laptop suits your preference and needs. What do you think is the best Apollo Lake Laptop
