Copilot in Planner is now previewing for all those new Microsoft Teams users with a Project Plan 3 or Project Plan 5 license

After teasing it a while ago, Microsoft released a preview edition of its Copilot generative AI assistance for the Planner application in Teams. Now, it is available to users with either a Project Plan 3 or Project Plan 5 license in the platform.

In a blog post, Microsoft says you can also more reliably go back to previous chats, attach subtasks to a main task, and link tasks with particular goals and buckets. Microsoft also added suggested prompts to make asking questions and getting answers smoother than silk.

The Redmond-based tech giant is also preparing to introduce a feature that will assist users in creating a new plan with only one text command.

In the coming weeks, users can expect the ability to build a plan – including goals, buckets, and a work breakdown – with a single prompt.

And for those inquisitive minds who don’t have a Project Plan license, there is an opportunity to try it out with a 30-day free trial. Access the Planner application in Teams and select the sparkling diamond icon.
