microsoft copilot chat history

In a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the Redmond-based tech giant announced the decision to release an enhancement for Copilot that allows the tool to organize the conversation history by grouping chats into different time frames, such as “Today,” “Yesterday,” “Last Week,” and so on.

By doing this, Copilot creates a clear structure that makes it easier for users to quickly find and review their previous conversations. Instead of scrolling through a long list of chats, users can easily navigate to the specific time period they are interested in and see the relevant conversations within that group.

This structured approach helps users visually parse their conversation history and find the information they need with less effort.

Here’s what the entry says:

This feature will provide users conversation history list structure through grouping conversations by time frame to make it easy for users to visually parse.

The enhancement will be released to the Microsoft 365 platform in February, and it should impact Copilot across all platforms, including Teams. Microsoft will also make the enhancement generally available to all users.

In similar news, if you want the opposite: this means Copilot not keeping track of your conversations, you can actually delete the Copilot activity and chat history. Microsoft says these options are now rolling out to users.
