We’re about to show you the future that CD Project Red’s latest game could have. However, it’s still worth taking into consideration, as the information is not at all farfetched and will introduce things that have been requested by gamers and discussed by developers.

And, if we also take consider the fact that CDPR did announce a major expansion coming to Cyberpunk 2077, it seems like it’s all starting to slowly come together.

Need us to refresh your memory? On November 29, CD Projekt Red leadership posted a press release to mark the end of the third quarter of the fiscal 2021/22 year.

In this press release, it’s stated by the studio’s management that a major update for all platforms is deep in development for Cyberpunk 2077, and should launch within the first three months of the fiscal 2022/23 year.

Recently, fans with a keen eye for anything new have noticed that the Steam build of Cyberpunk 2077 has now been updated to a new version for the first time since October.

This could mean that the big patch is finally on its way, which is excellent news for the content-hungry fans of the title.

Get ready for Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition

This would mean the big new update for Cyberpunk 2077 is primed to arrive at some point between March and May 2022, which is not that far from now.

Recent leaks shed some light on the upcoming project and the details are surely going to put smiles on the face of every Cyberpunk 2077 fan out there.

We can start with the fact that the popular game’s upcoming next-gen patch 1.5 will supposedly be treated as a soft relaunch for the title, which will also be renamed Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition.

How’s that for some unexpected changes? Some of the new features that will become available will include barbershops, a garage, improved AI, and a transmog system.

Allegedly, creators are also thinking about a complete rebalancing of the loot system, which was due anyway, but also about some important UI tweaks.

The leak suggests that this new expansion will take place in the Pacifica, and will also include 4 new weapons, New Game Plus mode, appartment customization, new gigs, and more.

But, the detail that got the fans most excited about is that Cyberpunk will get its own Gwent-like mini-game. If you played CDPR’s The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt you surely know what Gwent is.

Trailer finally revealed for Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners

The Cyberpunk anime series, which will be called Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners, is said to be made by Studio Trigger with writing and story made by CDPR themselves.

A lot to look forward to in 2022 if you are a Cyberpunk fan, even more, if we consider that all the rumors indicate that this new content will be free.

The new Netflix series was first announced back in 2020, and now we finally have the first trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

It’s hard to tell precisely what is going on in the one-minute-long clip, but it sure looks incredible and it will most definitely delight fans.

However, taking into consideration past DLCs that CDPR release for Witcher 3, for example, in the form of Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, we doubt that it will be available free of charge.

It’s way to soon to know anything for certain and all we can do is keep playing and wait for CD Project Red to make the big announcement.

Apparently, the company will host big livestream around February 2022 to reveal the patch, the anime series, as well as the first expansion.
