Dell joins the list of manufacturers using Snapdragon X Elite in its upcoming devices

Lately, we have been hearing a lot about Snapdragon X Elite being tested on several devices; after Samsung, Surface, and Lenovo, the latest name added to the list is Dell.

As spotted first by Windows Latest in the Geekbench benchmark latest report, the device used for testing is Dell Inc. Inspiron 14 Plus 7441.

Here is the detailed information about the same:

System Information

During testing, the single-core and multi-core scores were 1765 and 4367, respectively, which are lower than those of other OEM devices as per the Geekbench listing.

A second test was run on the same device, and the scores were even lower than the previous ones, 1773 (single-core) and 4101 (multi-core). Here are the details of this one:

When we compare it with SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. Galaxy Book4 Edge, whose base frequency is 4.01 GHz and uses the same Snapdragon X Elite – X1E80100 – Qualcomm Oryon CPU, we see that it scored 2785 (Single-Core), and 13925 (Multi-Core), which is quite high.

After basic analysis, we found only one difference: the base frequency or clock speed, which was 4.01 GHz for the Samsung device and 3.42 GHz for the Dell device.

This makes us wonder whether the testing was done with the correct settings. Also, power configuration or other incorrect benchmark settings could be the reason for such low scores.

So, we think these tests are inaccurate, but they only prove that Dell is also working on bringing a Windows 11 AI-powered PC to stay in the competition.
